{Our First Expedition}

Well, it's our first "official" post, and we'd like to thank all of our first followers...we really appreciate it. :) It is getting greener outside each and every day and it is so lovely. The flowers are beginning to bloom and it's definitely starting to feel like Spring with all this wonderful warm weather. We are looking forward to filling this blog with many, many posts of our photography throughout this year and more to come. Happy Easter! He is Risen!

Love,
    Hannah, Erika, Rachel <3

We do adore this tree! It has beautiful branches to climb and sit on and is just wonderful. Erika stated that it will be her Summer break reading spot this year.
Erika and Rachel came out of the grove of trees after they were done taking pictures. Since it had been all branchy and twiggy in there it was wonderful to get out into the open yard and see this beautiful sky and all the birds chirping and flying.
Erika being all cute with the 60's umbrella. :)
We do love the timer on our camera!
If not for it we could not take so many pictures together!
Ah...look at that breathtaking sunset.

The beautiful rolling fields are wonderful, but much more wonderful in real life. Sometimes you just can't capture the beauty of things in pictures.

It is so gorgeous when the sky has those streaks across it.
We loved how there was a patch of green grass forming a little path so we sat the tripod on the ground, set the timer, and took some commemorative photos...

Silhouettes.

-Squeaky swings and tall grass. The longest shadows ever cast.
The last bit of the sunset.
Note our matching shoes. :P
We loved the little green path so much that we came back the next day for pictures with Hannah!
-What else? I ran for it.
Rachel put a hat on the globe and could not resist taking a picture. :)

-There are dizzy daffodils on the hillside, strings of violets are all in tune, tiger lilies love the dandelions, in the golden afternoon, the golden afternoon.
-If she is ever mean to you, I will take you away.
-Where will we go?
-...Paris?
-And I could travel just by folding a map.
We love moss. It's so soft and is such a gorgeous colour. Someday we will paint a room that colour. It will be a library. We will have a botany book collection and a butterfly collection, a window looking out upon a garden, chairs to read our books on, lots of old botanical books and things, and a brass telescope to view the stars at night.
-Lovely weather for a picnic!
Well...there goes the picnic blanket.
It was so windy that day!
And that 'twas the end of our first expedition since our memory card filled. Now, off to enjoy this weather, loves. Ta-ta!
