~*A lucheon at the bed and breakfast*~

Hip-hip-hooray!  I am finally done with school!  Rachel is at my house right now (she spent the night last night) celebrating my being on summer break!  We are currently collaborating our artistic abilities by painting a landscape together. She is doing one half and I am doing the other.  Pictures to come soon!  We are having lots o' fun doing it.  Hope you enjoy the post=]

Last Saturday we went to a beautiful bed and breakfast for lunch.  It is gorgeous!!!  I love it so much.......It is one of those places that you would love to go and stay for ages.  It is called the Kimmell House Inn.   It's tucked back in the trees and when you drive by it, it peeks through the trees to say hello!

As you walk up the path to the door this adorable rabbit greets you at the gate!  I loved it so much I just could not resist taking a picture=]
The dining room we ate in had a fire place, it is so cosy looking and I love the picture above the mantle.  I know it's hard to see, but if you look closely and squint you just might be able to see the beauty of it!
I love sweet tea!  It is one of the best things to drink during a hot summers day.  I especially like when they put the lemon on the side!

The food does not only taste good, but it looks so artistic I just had to take pictures of it!

The dessert looked exceptionally delicious and beautiful

I have a story to tell you. There were once two girls, one was named Phyllis and the other Franny.  Phyllis and Franny were cousins and they lived together in a grand house where their parents held many, many parties.  Phyllis and Franny, not being of the age seventeen yet, were not allowed to come down stairs to the parties.  Little did their parents know, they would sneak down the long cherry wood, spiral staircase.  There they would peek through the staircase spindles and look at all the gorgeous things going on.  They saw beautiful young ladies dancing with handsome young men.  The men would twirl the ladies and their dresses would spin all around them....it was a stunning sight.  All the ladies had flowers in their hair and their dresses were of all colours and styles.  The music playing was positively beautiful!  All the doors and windows were open and a cool summer breeze was blowing through them.  They stretched their necks slightly and looked out the doorway onto the porch.  The moon was gleaming and casting a soft light into the night.  Men and women were out there laughing and having a wonderful time.  Suddenly the clock struck twelve, dinging resounded through the house.  Phyllis and Franny swiftly ran up the staircase and back into their beds.  They dreamed of the day when they would get to join these wonderful parties.

The landscape is beautiful!  I love it so much!

I think this is gorgeous!  It reminds me of a little hidden secret garden.

After we ate lunch we went to a little shop down the road called Mary's Mess.  O' boy does the name fit the place!  I love it though.  There are so many cool things and I get something nearly every time I go there.
Here is Hannah with an old pipe.  It was so cool we just had to take a picture!
Me and Rachel got some brilliant badminton rackets!!!  I love them so much....they are so cute and vintage. =]

Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial day weekend! We will be spending it at our Grandma's lake.  Yeah!!!  The first official summer get together at our Grandma's lake cottage.  Thank you for all the sweet comments you left on our last post.  We appreciate them all so much!

Enjoying this great summers day,
Erika=]

A blossoming tree!

So, I know I've been the only one posting as of late but I promise that Erika has a new post coming! She's just been busy with exams for school, but she gets out Friday so then she'll have MUCH more time to post on here. :) Hannah, on the otherhand, now has a blog of her own and I kind of am thinking that she won't be doing this one really anymore. Here's the link to her blog: Adventures in Domestic Cooking, be sure to follow her!

I have been enjoying this gorgeous and warm weather this past week. It's been wonderful since I'm done with school I sleep in until 10:30, eat breakfast at 11:30 out on our screen porch, and don't get dressed till about noon. Ah, I love Summer!

I hope you enjoyed these few pictures! Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last post, I was so thankful for them. :) Pictures from the bed and breakfast on Saturday to come sometime this week. Have a wonderful day, stay cool!

Oh, and did I mention, I really want to get this shirt! What do you lovelies think? The sad thing is...it's 30 dollars including shipping but still...I love it! :)

Lots of love,
Rachel <3

If you want to view paradise...

Earlier today we went to an adorable bed and breakfast for a late birthday lunch for Erika (pictures to come ASAP, I promise!) and Erika and I began talking about our favourite commercials, new and old. Anyways, here I am on the computer at 10:30 PM on Facebook, Mugglenet (an awesome place for us Harry Potter nerds out there in the world), on Google playing...Pacman (go do it!), and then decided to go to YouTube to look up my favourite commercials and....was successful. Anyways, I decided to share them with you lovelies. :)

This Macbook Air commercial was from about two years ago...I love it! Because the song is just so stinking cute. So, commercials used to be lame, but nowadays they are so neat and sometimes even like a work of art!

Another one from a couple years ago is this adorable Abigail Breslin HP printer commercial, SO CUTE, right? And guess what? Abigail Breslin is the most adorable young actress...and....her birthday is four days before mine and she's even born the same year!

Oh! This one Erika and I really love...I know, I know, it's for how great of coverage AT&T has but we think it's a really neat commercial!

And lastly, to finish this silly post (hey, I was bored and wanted to share some lovely things!) is another adorable and wonderful A&T commercial, who WOULDN'T love it? It's got Gene Wilder singing from Willy Wonka on it! I adore that song. :)

Well loves. Hope you have a spectacular rest of the weekend. Picture from my day with Erika today to come soon!

Lots of love,
Rachel <3

A reunion with my dear, Erika!

Hello, my lovelies!

Well, yesterday Hannah and I went to Erika's house to help watch her little baby brothers. Soon the kids got back from school and Erika didn't know I had come along with Hannah, so, as she was just about to come in the house I ran upstairs and into her bedroom to surprise her (especially since I hadn't seen her since I'd been home from Florida!) and surprise her I did. She pretty much died laughing when she saw me awkwardly standing in her bedroom. Anyways, it was a fantastic reunion and we immediately began talking away and laughing and brainstorming on new picture ideas and collecting goodies for the photo shoot we were getting ready to do before I left. Let's just say it was a lovely reunion!

Before Hannah and I left for Erika's house yesterday morning I had Hannah take a few pictures of me. It was a breathtaking day. The birds chirping merrily, fresh puddles in the driveway the rain had left behind in the last couple of days, and how green everything had become since I had been away in Florida!
It was a GLORIOUS day!
Wouldn't you have to agree?
It was absolutely calming, I love the cool shadows from the trees.
Though, when we first got home from Florida it was rainy and gloomy and I was heart sick for the condo we had rented and the fun we had had back in the Sunshine state, I am truly glad to be back home at our cosy cottage!
You can tell it had been raining because of the cute puddles it left behind.
Another reason for being glad to be home: MY DOG! :)
Hannah and Jonas (Erika's baby brother) at Erika's house, isn't he precious?!
I.love.my.baby.cousin.THE.END!
Pretty much melts my heart right on the spot.
A bit blurry but I thought it was too adorable of a picture to not put up.
After a few hours, Erika and the rest of her siblings came home from school and Erika and I had a fantastic photo shoot! I love this green lantern of Erika's. That is my next goal of something to buy at the local antique mall.
We absolutely adore that huge tree! And, guess what? It has moss all around it! One of our very favourite things as we have mentioned in previous posts.
Hannah laying in the luscious grass beneath the warm sun, oh what a lovely day it was!
Then, Erika and I went on an expedition in her shed and, to our amazing luck, found what we were looking for: a wooden ladder!
The tree is....breathtaking and so huge! I adore it. It just goes to show how amazingly wonderful God created this world.
We then kind of sort of laughed really hard because on a log (to replace the tripod I hadn't brought with me to Erika's house) sat both her new camera and mine on timer with Hannah, and Emma, Erika's little sister, onlooking at our picture-taking.
I really love how happy this one looks.
I don't know if you can tell, but I am holding that lovely green lantern of Erika's.
And this cute little thing, is Emma, Erika's sweet little sister, and my dear cousin!
Well, hey there, Mr. Sun! I love you very much.
The lovely little ditch in Erika's yard. I love the beautiful Laura Ingall's-looking purple flowers.
And to finish the lovely little sight, the sun was shimmering wonderfully on the water!
We then strung yarn all over a tree in the yard by throwing the ball of yarn from branch to branch (Emma and I took turns) which is QUITE fun, I shall have you know. Then we had a brainstorm and thought it'd be neat to hang things from the branches for pictures. So, we went inside and collected things and here this picture shows Erika and Emma hanging them on the branches. It was jolly fun!
We dubbed it: The Tree Of Many Things (credit goes to Emma).

And so, after these pictures were taken Hannah and I went home. I took a walk in our woods, read outside for a bit, and then Hannah and I plus our brother and his girlfriend went to Dairy Queen. When we came home at about 9:00 PM all of us girls (including, of course, our sweet mum) watched The Young Victoria, which was....EXCELLENT! I loved it so, so, so, so much. It was so sweet and lovely. Anyways, I'm off to bed. Good night, darlings!

Love,
Rachel
